IETF 105 in Montreal

 
 

Last week was the IETF 105 in Montreal, Canada. IETF is the standards body for most of the Internet protocols used today (e.g. TCP and IP).

We’re seeing a number of interesting use-case where our software and coding technology can provide significant advantages and accelerate time to market. This includes satellites, QUIC, and network optimizations. Some of these discussions are happening in the Coding for efficient NetWork Communications Research Group (nwcrg). However, lately there has also been a number of other groups and initiatives at IETF which would benefit from RLNC based FEC schemes and are approaching the stage at which these discussions are going to be very useful.
